Name:
Ronnie Riley
Age:
16
Gender:
Female
Appearance:
Ronnie is very skinny and rather tall. She hovers just below 5’9. Her build isn’t very strong, but is toned to the point of perfection. Apart from five ear piercings, she also has a nose and eyebrow piercing, however, she doesn’t wear any very frequently and never all at once. Everything has to do with the precision of her outfit of the day. Ronnie has a very unique style and taste and that dictates her appearance. She never ever wears the same exact things together – except perhaps her pajamas. Her hair often changes color, but is generally a bright pink. Apart from that, her hair is curly and long. On occasion, she’ll bead it or put feathers in it. Her face is childish and in turn makes her look almost innocent. She doesn't mind, though, less people would suspect her.
Her eyes are a deep brown, almost black, hinting towards mystery. Her completion is also striking, practically flawless, even though she doesn’t realize it. Ronnie wears reading glasses that are large and square, unfortunately, a popular type for kids her age. She has long legs and arms, a tattoo of four small birds on her forearm, and the tattooed word “deccusate” at the back of her neck.
Personality:
Ronnie Riley isn’t exactly what people would expect. Apart from her vibrant appearance, she is exceptionally quiet. Actually, she’s afraid to say too much because she’s terrified of saying the wrong thing. Even her friends don’t really know everything about Ronnie. She’s loud around them, yes, but she’s held back and doesn’t tell them every single little secret she has.
She is entirely too curious for her own good. On top of that, she has an addictive personality. She strives to feel everything and experience everything, but she herself has no idea where the drive comes from. On account of this, she’s been through many stages in her life. She wants to feel superior in any given situation and she can lie without faltering to get her way. She can be flirtatious and charming if she tries, but she can also put up a good fight if she wants. She uses words to hurt people and words to get her way. More than anything, she claims anything she wants, whether it be a boy, drugs, clothes, or anything of the like. Ronnie is incredibly smart and good at hiding anything she wishes.
Ronnie is usually ‘normal’ emotionally. Though, on occasion, since she never talks to people and hoards everything inside, it will blow up on her. She’ll turn into a wreck and this once calm, strong and mysterious girl will turn into something completely different. It scares her so much she’ll get panic attacks on occasion.
History:
Veronica Riley was born in Southern California and she lived there up until she was 13. There she picked up many things. She surfed for years – as way as played volleyball. She slipped in and out of crowd and groups of friends for years. Overall, it made her lonely. She had no real friends or anyone to really talk to. Her mom found out that she had cancer when Ronnie was young, only 5. This was only two years after the birth of her little sister. For years, they went on with no house. Going around to relatives. Three years passed, her mother was still alive, but not getting any better. By the time Ronnie turned eight, they had given up hope. That was the year their dad randomly decided that he existed. He popped into their life. A month later her mother died. A month after that, her father gained full custody of her. She had to split up with her younger sister since Ronnie’s father wasn’t the father of Alice, her sister.
Though her father undoubtedly cared about her, he had a reckless lifestyle. He had lots of money and it was constantly coming in. But he spent it all so frequently, always gambling and smoking. Eventually, Ronnie’s curious mindset would win over and she would smoke the ends of the cigarettes that her dad threw out. Things escaladed from there. She was too afraid to take any of her dad’s money, so she learned how to take anything she wanted. She started with little object, but by the time they moved to Chicago, Ronnie could hotwire a car. In her sixteenth year, she was offered a job in modeling for clothing stores and hipster magazines. Whenever they have the chance, she and her father go out for movies or have booze nights, but those are rare. He often doesn’t come home for days on end, and so neither does she. They have an unspoken agreement of don’t ask, don’t tell. Throughout the course of her life, Ronnie has put herself through a lot, such as: additions to various drugs, anorexia, and most recently, "doped up on shit." She does it because she thinks it will help her feel better and to try and feel like she isn't a bomb just waiting to detonate.

- Spoiler:
- Slumping against a tree, Adelaide felt her legs give way beneath her and she fell to the forest floor. Though she hated admitting it to herself, all she could do was sit and stare. She tried to force herself to move and function. She tried to train, went for a jog, even tried to sleep but everything seemed so monotonous and drab. Most of these things, she would find joy in (well, mainly training) but all that was etched on Addie’s mind was a cold, rainy day and a bad feeling. In fact, she had had this same bad feeling for days now and it had kept her from leaving the forest. With bad feelings came terrifying actions. Few people knew where to find her, and she preferred to keep it that way. Though, above all else, she felt entirely alone. It grew to the extent that she craved human interaction – a talk with either her sister or Avery at the very least.
And so, the tired girl somehow managed to drag herself out of those woods. She took a long walk, however. Avoiding places she never wanted to see and stopping at places like the creek where she met James and the rope swing, where she grew to know Klara. All the while, tunes of her favorite songs chirped in one of her ears. Those memories gave Adelaide the courage to put a smile on her face and make a wholehearted attempt and pretending to be happy.
Adelaide stopped by the showers to freshen up and she grabbed a few pieces of fruit that were lying in a bowl at the empty Mess Hall. She liked coming into camp on days like this. It was rarely rainy as the magical borders kept out the majority of precipitation, but it was misty enough to keep most of the campers indoors. Because of this, Adelaide found herself hovering above a damp bench in the center of the cabins debating whether or not to sit down. One earphone dangled below her waist and the other was playing A Day to Remember in the back of the small girl’s mind. Her hair was practically dry, but due to the nuisance of weather, the normally soft curls were frizzing to an uncomfortable height and bits of hair clung to the side of her face. So much for looking nice. In case she would find Avery today, Adelaide put on fresh skinnies, a V neck, and even make-up. She wore it more often now – not that anyone cared. But today just wasn’t her day, hopefully Avery cared about her enough that he wouldn’t mind the fact that she looked slightly like a drowned cat.
Even though Adelaide went through all that trouble to look presentable, she didn’t find herself outside of the Hermes cabin when she finally walked away from the bench. She stood precisely ten steps in front of the Hades cabin. ”Amyna?” She called, her voice oddly eerie sounding in the nearly empty looking camp. ”Amyna, are you in there?” Adelaide tried to walk closer to the cabin, even peek in the window, but after what had happened, she couldn’t bring herself to go any closer to her father’s cabin. An annoyed sigh fell off her lips and escaped into the foggy air as she made her way back over to the benches. Despite the fact that the benches were damp and would possibly soak through her jeans, she fell into the corner of one. Her back pressed into both the armrest and the backrest and she pulled her knees up to her chest. Turning up the volume nearly all the way to try and drown out her thoughts, Adelaide put the other bud in her ear. And just like that, the world was put on pause. She couldn’t hear or perceive it and she willed herself not to think. Eventually, after a few songs passed, she slid down the bench till her back was flat on the hard wood and her feet dangled over the edge of the opposite armrest. The girl kept waiting for a familiar face to pass, but none did. By some odd chance, she was able to drift into sleep.
Adelaide woke as she felt a few drops hit her face. She turned to her side and tried to get back the blissful uninterrupted sleep, but it was gone. More water splashed on her and she realized that it was starting to rain. Irritated, Addie grumbled and put her iPod and earphones in her pocket, hoping that would save it from any damage. The back of her shirt stuck to her skin and she managed to grumble some more. Adelaide just wanted to get out of the rain, but she had nowhere to go. The air was so foggy, she had trouble seeing the cabins, they were just big grey masses. ”Wonder what kind of storm could be going on outside of camp.” She thought aloud, but whatever else came to mind was lost as she noticed a figure coming closer, emerging from the fog.
I didn't proofread this because Tori is a lazy butttt. So I apologize for any typos.
